Nancy Groves

Chief of Digital Strategy, UN Environment Programme at United Nations

Nancy Groves is the Chief of Digital Strategy at the United Nations, where she manages the social media, web, and news/media teams and provides overall strategic direction to the work for the UN Environment Programme.

Nancy was the first "Head of Social Media" for the United Nations in the Department of Global Communications. She joined the UN and the Department of Public Information in 2004 and since then has held various positions in the internal communications and library fields.

She also worked with a development-related NGO called Global Volunteers where she led teams of volunteers to Ghana and Turkey.
