Background
In 2021 women only held about 21% of the leadership positions in tech and only 14% of the software engineering positions. The ratio of men to women in tech is astonishing compared to the overall workforce. Only slight progress has been made over the past 5 years. Gender equality is still far from reach, even in the tech industry and especially in the C-Suite.
To recognize and honor powerful women who are moving technology forward, we want to highlight some of the top technologists, innovators, executives, and influential women holding leadership positions in the tech industry. These bright and talented women are making history.
How did we compile the list?
The Executive Women in Tech Network has put together the list of women in tech leaders to watch in 2022 based on nominations, direct applications, information from our database, interviews, company websites, and other public sources. The one thing that unites them all is their passion and resolve to make a difference in the tech world.
